I was brought up in Linwood until I was 12; I have great memories of playing on the sculpture. Great to here the place is getting a well deserved face lift.

I was born in Linwood and have spent almost all of my life here. I've seen so many changes to Linwood over the years- not all good ones! I remember when there were fields behind Fulwood avenue and the bus terminus was at the end of Lochhead avenue. My first school was Linwood Public School ,popularly known as the wee red school although this name was coined by later inhabitants who moved into Linwood in the 1960's when houses were built to accommodate workers from the car factory.I have many memories of Linwood and hope that others will post their memories in a positive way on this site.
